Clarion Publishing House was first founded in Egypt and was known under the name of Nile Mission Press. It was then transferred to Beirut in 1960 and was called the Christian Literature Center.

An attempt was made in the early seventies to combine all the Evangelical Literature Working Centers in Lebanon and form a union – which was known as the Christian Arabic Literature League. In 1973, the L.E.S. took over this literature work and named it the Clarion Publishing House.

This department of L.E.S. was housed in L.E.S. buildings in West Beirut. Because of the recent anti-Christian movement, the attack on our premises and the taking away of most of our stock of books, Clarion was forced to move to a rented premises in East Beirut.
Later on, LES bought a two story building in Ashrafieh and Clarion has been there ever since.

Clarion has translated and published various quality Christian books such as “Five love languages” “5 Secrets For a Happy Marriage” and other great books.
Clarion’s popular yearly publication “Our daily bread” is translated into Arabic and is a great resource for spiritual growth.
